We will receive this year’s annual conference offering on Pentecost Sunday May 24, 2015. We invite you to give generously on that day as a way to show solidarity and love for our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world.
Can you imagine tucking your children in every night, knowing that the bite of a mosquito could steal them away, and having no way to protect them? This is the harsh reality that millions of parents in Africa face. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Since 2010, when Imagine No Malaria was started, the death rate from malaria has been cut in half. Our donations are saving lives. Since the end of October 2014, we at Byron UMC have been participating in the District 100K challenge by dropping a dollar in the Imagine No Malaria bucket each week – in this way you have generously given over $620 – thank you! The last day we will have the buckets out is May 17.
